Barwon Heads Airport (YBRS) Fly Neighbourly Policy.

Airport - Fly Neighbourly Policy.

An important aspect of our flight operations is compliance with our FLY NEIGHBOURLY policy.
We request that at all times you conduct flight operations with minimal noise consistent with safe and legal flight procedures.
Of most significance are the homes immediately to the north and south of our main runway 36/18.

Arrivals:
Plan for straight in approaches if practical otherwise fly standard left hand circuits.
Fly a continuous descent approach and use minimal power on final.
Use runway 36 for landings in zero wind when safe to do so.

Departures:
Use runway 18 for take offs in zero wind when safe to do so.
Climb as steeply as practicable. Reduce to climb power as early as practicable.
On runway 36 angle left after take off as soon as it is safe to do so to avoid homes under centre line.

Skydive aircraft:
Skydive aircraft departing on runway 18 should maintain runway track until overwater.
For Skydive aircraft landing on runway 36 a straight in approach is preferred.

Circuits:
No early morning or late evening circuit training permitted.

Aviation Regulations and Safety:
Where compliance with aviation regulations conflicts with this Policy, the regulations prevail.
Where safety conflicts with this Policy, safety prevails.
